The Start of Something Great!
When David retired from the window business in 2016 after 30 years in Pittsburgh, we knew it was time to move south and be closer to our two children. Determined not to succumb to empty nest syndrome, we decided to go into the beef jerky business. Thus, Charlotte Jerky was born. Not only does it keep David on his toes, it gives us a chance to travel and meet new people at the festivals and fairs in the Charlotte area.
Charlotte Jerky features Tommy’s Old Fashion Jerky and Smokies which are high protein, low fat, low carb, quality snacks. They’re easy to store, easy to carry, and require no refrigeration. Jerky and smokies are the original finger food, made of 100% USDA inspected Top Round Steak and premium cuts of meat. Hand-trimmed, tender, seasoned to perfection. Recent additions to the Charlotte Jerky lineup include Shiners Stash and Pan’s Vegan Jerky.
Opening up a small business was scary at first, but since our first Home and Landscape Show in 2016, we haven’t looked back. We been to rodeos and to the Southern Christmas Show, and so many places in between. We’ve made it through wind, rain, and snow storms - losing a few tents along the way. But, we’ve never lost the excitement of the show - making new friends and reconnecting with old friends.
